Despite the fact that your conventional car comes equipped with a sophisticated computer system, as a driver you have very limited interaction with the performance settings on your engine. You decide how far down to push the gas pedal and that's it. Your navigation system, which may have some sophisticated voice-recognition features, simply gives you information on where you're going.

In contrast, the onboard computer interfaced with the Hefley Engine will not only automatically change the displacement based on your need for power, but will give you the option of choosing the fuel-type and performance settings based on the kind of trip you're taking and the current cost of fuel.
